Description:
Carrying light ahead of the procession has been a sacred custom since the earliest centuries of the Church, representing Christs light shining in the darkness. These Zieglers processional torches and companion floor stand are an ideal addition for any church, featuring traditional woodwork, secure candle containment, and a reliable safety design.
Safe, Upright Processional Torches
One of the greatest challenges of using traditional torches during long processions is the risk of tilting, which leads to spilled wax, ruined vestments, or extinguished flames.
This set features a self-leveling, pivoting bracket design. No matter what angle the acolyte holds the shaft, the torch head naturally adjusts with gravity to always remain in a perfectly vertical position. This mechanism practically eliminates wax spills on your sanctuary floors, carpets, and the servers' hands.
Premium Wood & Metal Craftsmanship
Designed by the master craftsmen at Zieglers, these processional torches provide a stable storage location for your torches in the sanctuary. Built to coordinate beautifully with classic and transitional church interiors, these appointments are manufactured using:
-
Solid Oak Shafts and Stand: The torch poles and sturdy floor stand are carved from solid oak, stained to showcase the natural wood grain.
-
Satin Gold Plating: The metal fixtures are made of gold-plated brass finished with a soft, brushed satin lustre, catching the altar light without causing distracting glares.
-
Protective Glass Globes: Each torch is crowned with a 2-1/2" x 6-1/4" glass globe. Choose between traditional Clear glass for maximum light transmission or a rich Ruby glass to add warm, liturgical color to your processions.
Processional Torch Sizing and Specifications
- Floor Stand Dimensions: 32" High x 39-1/2" Wide
