SLEEPING SAINT JOSEPH – STATUE – WOOD

Description:

The Sleeping St. Joseph statue carries profound significance, inspired by Pope Francis, who brought this cherished image from Argentina to St. Martha's House. Depicted lying peacefully asleep in elegant gold-trimmed green and red garments, the Saint embodies pivotal Gospel moments where divine dreams guided himoffering protection to Mary, naming Jesus, and heeding warnings of Herod that led to the flight into Egypt. Pope Francis continues the tradition of placing prayer requests beneath the statue, a practice rooted in deep faith. Exquisitely hand-carved and hand-painted, this piece is a timeless expression of devotion and artistry.
