My Synaxarion A Saint for Every Day FEBRUARY

Description:

InFebruary, we usually get ready for Great Lent, a time during which the Divine Liturgy is only celebrated on Saturdays and Sundays. Thus, memorial services cannot be performed. In the second part of this volume, we have included theSupplication Service to Saints Theodores. We have done that because both Saints are commemorated in February. How are they associated with the memorial service? We owe Saint Theodore the Recruit or Tero the gift of Kolyva.

We read the Akathist to the two Saints' during February and when we prepare for a memorial service.

Every volume includes lesser-known Orthodox Western Saints, offering a unique perspective on the Orthodox Western Saints prior to AD 1054.
